Marino Fernandopulle, OLCPR Chair

It is my pleasure to serve as the Chair of the Orillia & Lake Country Physician Recruitment Committee. I have been a member of the committee for the last 8 years, and 2024 marks my first year as chair. During my time on the committee, I have had the privilege of being a part of this grass roots movement to ensure that all local residents have access to a family doctor. It has been incredible to see our dedicated team of volunteers, staff, and the community as a whole, come together to achieve this goal. The importance of family physicians cannot be understated and the demand for primary care is increasing. I’m excited by the challenge to lead the committee’s efforts to attract family doctors to our area to meet the needs of our community.

I am fortunate to live and work in Orillia and the surrounding areas. It is an ideal community in which to raise a family and find professional fulfilment while maintaining a satisfying work-life balance. We look forward to showcasing all that Orillia and surrounding areas have to offer.
